Tea Party in DC: 04/15/2009

I’ll be attending today’s soggy Tea Party in DC near the White House, across from the Treasury Building. I’ll have my iPhone and will be posting live photos starting from whenever I get there … probably around 11 am. I’ll be joined by my friend at This Ain’t Hell, etc. See you there!

1:30 pm: I’m done … too much rain. I got some video of a few moronic counter protesters. I’ll post that later.

Here’s the video post.  Near the end of the protest (at least as far as I was concerned … I was getting soaked) these idiots showed up.  They were obviously endeavoring to employ some sort of irony.  You can imagine the giggling.  They’re just so much smarter than any of us obviously.  And we all are, of course, fat cats.  If only.  What a bunch of putzes.  Enjoy.

Here (above) is a frame I snipped from the video, showing these morons at another point in the counter-protest.  It’s a better view of the second sign they were flaunting.  Sad.  And they were so proud of themselves.

Well I’m here at the Tea Party … not a lot going on except people milling about.

I do have some photos … nothing really video worthy.

Well … I’ve been to better protests.

Then again, I’ve been to worse.

This had all the makings of a middle-of-the-road ANSWER protest before they adopted the head-choppers.

I mean … I know that “conservatives” are generally not protesters. We actually have “lives” and “careers” and do, from time to time something called “work” … in addition to raising “families”. This is all more or less alien to “liberals” who seem to spend most of their time wondering why everyone else doesn’t think exactly the way they do.

Still, we should learn a bit from their ability to organize. Maybe next time.
