Absurd
OK, so the moron Congressman Chabot is a Republican. This is NOT a partisan issue … these folks have the right to film anything they want in a public place regardless of who they represent … even if they only represent themselves. This involves one of our fundamental rights. If we begin to make our rights subject to partisan review, this country is done for. Vote this moron out.
Of course the funny thing is that he got exactly what he was probably afraid of anyway … only now its worse that some lame answer to a question or simply misspeaking on an issue. Now he looks like the kind of politician we’ve all grown to expect from an increasingly insulated Washington. Republican and Democrat both. We need a change … and not a rhetorical one either.

This video was taken years ago, in February of 2006 and shows scenes from the Danish Cartoons rally in front of the Danish Embassy here in DC, including at the end Christopher Hitchens talking with some dude. It was one of the first videos I took and was taken just before the video below, which is of Christopher Hitchens’ speech … a video which went viral and started me on this whole video blogging thing. The video embedded below is the YouTube version of that speech. Requests for the original video file (which I still have) can be made by email. I’m interested to see how the video qualities compare …

I read that Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs (with whom I still occasionally correspond) was also exiled and delinked from Hot Air. Apparently he had at least the ironic courtesy of being … initially … moved to the “Left Links” gulag prior to liquidation … I went straight from “Affiliate” to bung-hole.
Frankly, I haven’t visited Hot Air in a while … my karma’s a lot cleaner for it, I can tell you. What the hell is going on over there?
